![]() ![]() ![]() This is one of those truly special audiobook experiences that made me hate having to be a productive member of society instead of focusing solely on the recording. I have no personal knowledge of PTSD or it's affects but feel after reading this that I have a much better understanding of - and compassion for - what it might be like. The characters - both main and supporting - are so well written that I completely fell in love with them and was desperate for them to find a way through this and get to the other side. ![]() That said - please don't let that discourage you from giving this work a chance. The writing is so beautifully descriptive and I deeply felt the emotions of the main characters - their worries, anxiety, desperation, hopelessness, and sometimes terror. This sequel is the follow-up to the very good Ask, Tell and focuses on the effects of PTSD on a military surgeon and her partner after an incident during a war zone deployment. Noyes, narrated by Abby Craden, is truly exceptional. ![]()
